Loredana Taufer
I was born in 1997 in Trentino and began training in figurative sculpture at a young age, specializing in wood, stone, and marble carving. Over time, I expanded my skills, deepening my knowledge of modeling, casting, and the use of composite materials.
Since 2018, I have collaborated with international artists and worked on projects between France and Italy, ranging from heritage conservation to contemporary sculpture. This journey has allowed me to refine my technique and develop a personal artistic research focused on material and its transformation.
I currently live and work in Carrara, where I dedicate myself to artistic production and participate in international exhibitions and symposia. In August 2023, I presented my first solo exhibition, "Scomporre - Ricomporre", an exploration of the concept of transformation and reconstruction through matter.
EDUCATION
My training began in Alto Adige, where I attended the CADEMIA Professional School in Ortisei, specializing in figurative wood sculpture. There, I obtained the Master Sculptor diploma, the Carver qualification, and the Professional Qualification Certificate (CAP).
Over the years, I have deepened my knowledge of anatomy and figurative sculpture, working with master sculptors Bruno Walpoth and Filip Piccolruaz, who have significantly influenced my approach to material.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Over the years, I have worked on various projects in both art and restoration, collaborating with specialized workshops and studios.
2024 – I worked on the creation of a 120 m² monumental bas-relief for a Cartier boutique, in collaboration with Louise Del Boca’s atelier (Paris/Hong Kong).
2024 – I contributed to the reconstruction of figures for the Carrousel du Louvre, working with Ateliers Enache (Paris).
2024 – I took part in the sculpture and restoration of decorative elements for Notre-Dame Cathedral in Reims.
Since 2020 – I have collaborated with TORART srl, contributing to the creation of marble works for artists such as Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Maurizio Cattelan, and Fabio Viale.
